Idaho Drone Laws

Prohibited from using drones for surveillance of individuals without consent
Cannot use drones for hunting or to locate game
Firefighting areas are no-fly zones for civilian drones
Agricultural drone use is encouraged with specific guidelines

Privacy Laws

Idaho Code 21-213 specifically addresses drone surveillance and privacy protections.

Penalties

Surveillance violations: misdemeanor with fines up to $1,000. Hunting violations: additional fish and game penalties.

Note: In addition to state penalties, federal FAA penalties may also apply. Civil penalties for FAA violations can reach $27,500, and criminal penalties can include fines up to $250,000 and imprisonment.
