Privacy Laws

Indiana Code 35-33-5-9 addresses warrant requirements for drone surveillance by law enforcement.

Penalties

Critical infrastructure violations: Level 6 felony. Other violations: Class A misdemeanor.

Note: In addition to state penalties, federal FAA penalties may also apply. Civil penalties for FAA violations can reach $27,500, and criminal penalties can include fines up to $250,000 and imprisonment.
