Tennessee Drone Laws

Using drones for surveillance without consent is illegal
Weaponized drones are prohibited
Cannot fly drones over critical infrastructure
Cannot use drones to interfere with hunting or fishing

Privacy Laws

Tennessee Code 39-13-903 specifically addresses drone surveillance and privacy.

Penalties

Surveillance: Class C misdemeanor. Weaponized drone: Class E felony.

Note: In addition to state penalties, federal FAA penalties may also apply. Civil penalties for FAA violations can reach $27,500, and criminal penalties can include fines up to $250,000 and imprisonment.
